Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) practice. The LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the day-to-day operations of the practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, a strong understanding of ENT conditions, and a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take patient medical histories and document current symptoms, complaints, and any changes in condition.
  • Assist in preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications and injections as directed by the physician.
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as ear irrigation, wound care, and administering tests (e.g., hearing tests, allergy testing).
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist with patient education, providing information about ENT conditions, treatment options, and medications.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling and preparation for appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Monitor patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) and report abnormalities to the physician.
  • Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment for procedures.
  • Assist in clerical tasks such as phone calls, appointment scheduling, and insurance verifications.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN license in [state].
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
