Allergy Supervisor

Department: Allergy CC53
Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Summary: The Allergy Supervisor, reporting to the Regional Practice Administrator functions to varying degrees to achieve the best quality outcomes, patient safety, and support to improve patient centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists in the development, review, revision, and roll out of clinical policies and procedures and/or education materials, including training and monitoring the implementation of clinical policies and procedures in the clinic.
  • Participates with the practice administrator in the proactive identification and development of clinic specific education and outcome goals, including implementation and monitoring of the goals to achieve desired results.
  • Coordinates the review and investigation of risk events and participates in the plan of correction and follow-up requested. This includes instituting and leading quality assurance meetings regularly to ensure areas for improvement are proactively addressed.
  • Performs clinic audits, as indicated, or scheduled, and provides support to the leadership, including education of deficiencies in developing a plan of correction and resolution of deficiencies.
  • Ascertains specific training needs in the market and implements a plan to address these needs, which may include providing continuing education and in-services/materials to colleagues and patients to improve knowledge base and meet regulatory and safety requirements, on an as needed basis.
  • Investigates, responds promptly, and resolves patient complaints.
  • Upholds the code of conduct, compliance, and all company policies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, RN or LVN certificate
  • Five years of healthcare experience
  • At least 2 years working in an allergy clinic
  • Familiar with setting performance targets and reporting KPI
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and generate business reports
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Reasoning Ability –

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills –

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Prefer experience with eCW, Allergy Edge, or similar systems
